Is the OM still credible? In a shocking revelation, the Public Prosecution has decided to do nothing with the 66 death threats addressed to Geert Wilders. Yes, you read it correctly: sixty-six death threats. To be clear, we are not talking about a random citizen, but a prominent member of parliament. It is simply outrageous how easily the public prosecutor ignored this case.
Wilders, obviously furious, gave his unvarnished opinion on X: ''Mail from the OM: they do NOTHING with 66 death threats and announcements of attacks on me from abroad.'' As a reason they gave the 'scarce investigation capacity' which they would rather use for something else. Well, who would have thought that the safety of a member of parliament would not be high on their list of priorities?
Now the question arises: would the prosecution have acted the same way if the death threats had been directed at, say, Sigrid Kaag or Jesse Klaver? The answer is obvious. Then the media would have been full of it for weeks and no stone would have been left unturned to track down and prosecute the perpetrators. But it seems like a different standard applies to Wilders in the eyes of our "impartial" judiciary.
This is not just a gaffe by the prosecution; this is an outright mockery of our legal system. If Wilders can't feel safe, who can? The OM has clearly shown that they are biased, making their choices based on political preferences. That simply cannot and should not be allowed in a rule of law like ours!
It seems like they have a blind spot for the welfare of right-wing conservative politicians at the OM. And if this is the case, what does that say about the rest of their work? Trust in our judicial institutions is completely undermined by such actions.
(Article continues below this call) At The Daily Standard, we understand that the 2023 House of Representatives elections are the most important elections of our lifetime. That's why we are committed to exposing and defeating the leftist globalists. But for that, we need your help! The Dutch people deserve better than this. Wilders deserves better than this. It is high time that the OM gets their act together and does their job without political bias. But, let's be honest: do you really expect this to happen under the current establishment? We thought so. It is clearly time for change.
