It is unfortunately an annual phenomenon: elderly people completely besieged by testosterone scum who cannot behave normally when people call them on their behavior. This trend has been going on for years, and last New Year's Eve was no exception.
A 52-year-old man from Leek addressed youths who threw fireworks at his dog and had to pay with his life after an assault. Deman was walking his dog around 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve, not far from his home in the Groningen village. A group of youths found it necessary to throw fireworks at the dog. When the man said something about this, he was tackled by the shameless scum. The man managed to get home but eventually died of his injuries.
Police acknowledge being aware of "this story," but while the investigation is still ongoing, they do not want to reveal anything about the case. "The investigation is still ongoing," police said in a comment to HDVHN. An 18-year-old man has been arrested, and police are not ruling out multiple arrests.
The village is in deep shock after the event, with people speaking of "a tragedy." The victim was a volunteer at the local ice hockey club. "The victim was known within his club as someone who stood up for good behavior and always offered a listening ear. "He tried to take the sting out of the situation."
