Madness at its peak: Leftist EU lunatics want Orban barred from power

In a blatant and unprecedented act of political intolerance and abuse of power, left-wing extremists in the European Union have launched a petition to keep Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban out of power in the EU. This is nothing less than an outright attack on the democratic values and sovereignty at the heart of our European society.

It is mind-boggling how far these leftist fanatics are willing to go in their blindness and hatred. Finnish European Parliamentarian Petri Sarvamaa (EPP) is calling for Hungary to be denied the right to vote in the EU Council in order to prevent Prime Minister Orban from becoming interim president in July - a position to which he is fully entitled. The absurdity of this demand cannot be underestimated. Hungary is a full member of the European Union and, like any other member, has the right to participate in Council decision-making.

Sarvamaa's accusation that Hungary is acting "in violation of the rule of law" is not only laughable but dangerous. It is jaw-dropping for the democratic principles on which the EU claims to be built. Hungary, in full compliance with EU rules and procedures, voted against the €50 billion aid to Ukraine. Yes, it could do so simply by using a veto. Therefore exists that mechanism.

This decision, however controversial, is a legitimate expression of national policy and sovereignty. But for Sarvamaa and his supporters, this is apparently sufficient reason to strip a member state of its rights.

What we see here is nothing less than a political witch hunt led by a coalition of left-wing extremists who have no respect for the diversity of opinions and policies within the European Union. This kind of behavior undermines the fundamental principles of the EU, including respect for sovereignty, democracy and the right of member states to determine their own policies.
