Electric cars catch fire, ship carrying them in flames near Ameland

Near Ameland, a large ship - the Fremantle Highway - that is carrying as many 2,857 cars has caught fire. All sorts of efforts are being made to put out the fire, but in the meantime, at least one crew member has died. The reason for the fire? An eco-friendly electric car exploded.

We are always being told that electric driving is the future future. It would be clean for the environment, good for the climate, and basically just fantastic. Well that's not so bad anyway when you look at what it takes to make the batteries of these types of cars, but today another perspective is added.

A ship with nearly 3,000 cars on it was on its way from Germany to Egypt. After all, those Germans can make good cars, and in Egypt they evidently need new cars. Of the 2,857 cars on the ship, only 25 are electric. You would think: if something happens to one of those cars, the chances of it being an electric car are slim.

Mjah... Yet that's what happened. The Coast Guard had to go into action because the entire huge ship - nearly 200 meters long and more than 30 meters wide! - is in flames. "We suspect the fire broke out in an electric car," the Coast Guard said.

In all, 23 people work on the ship. Several crew members jumped into the water to escape the flames. At least one crew member has been pronounced dead. How the remaining 22 crew members fared is not yet entirely clear. What we do know is that several crew members were pulled from the water by the Coast Guard.

"The crew attempted to extinguish the fire themselves, but were unsuccessful. The fire continued to spread, so an evacuation was initiated," the Coast Guard said. "Unfortunately, one crew member died and several were injured."

(Article continues below this call) The Daily Standard fiercely opposes all the idiotic climate madness. We write openly and honestly about the downsides of the obsession with electric. As a result, we go directly against the mainstream media - and thus against what many advertisers want. This means we can only tell the truth about these issues WITH YOUR SUPPORT. So donate to DDS, via BackMe, and help us expose the climate-crazy electric-obsession every time!

Meanwhile, 16 of the crew members have already been taken to a hospital. They were in such a serious condition that they had to be properly examined - and possibly even put on medication or machines. Meanwhile, it is feared that the ship is going down helplessly. It may sink to the bottom of the sea near Ameland.

And so it all started with a "safe" and, more importantly, "very clean" electric car. You know, one of those things that we increasingly hear about exploding if it's a little too hot or if something isn't put together quite right; a problem we don't have at all with regular cars.
